The choli has short sleeves and a low neck and is usually cropped, Cholis may be "backless" or of a halter neck style. The Cholis are usually more dressy with a lot of embellishments such as mirrors or embroidery and may be worn on special occasions. The saree is popular female attire and is worn by women both in South India and North India.Styles of Indian Saree Draping:Nivi: This style of draping is worn in Andhra Pradesh; besides the modern nivi, there is also the kaccha nivi, where the pleats are passed through the legs and tucked into the waist at the back.
